NC AESTHETICIANS ASSOCIATION NEWS

To: NCAA Members
Hello Everyone! Just some updates and information we wanted to share with you.
First, most of you are aware by now of our efforts to change our existing esthetics law to allow estheticians to operate energy devices, i.e. laser hair removal, etc. Several meetings have taken place with NCAA and the N.C. State Board regarding this issue. The General Assembly does not meet until January, so we are currently gathering information and getting a representative to sponsor the change in our esthetics bill. Amy Rumley, Nadine Investor, Helen Frazier, and others are devoting much of their time and energy toward this effort.
We would like to encourage everyone to attend the Carolina Esthetics Conference September 14th and 15th at the Charlotte Convention Center . This event is sponsored by Grace Medical and NCAA. Up to eight hours of continuing education will be available. NCAA members will receive a discount for registration (refer to the NCAA website.) NCCA member & Student fee is $50 (before 8/22) and $75 after 8/22 and non-NCAA member fee is $95 (before 8/22), & $125 (after 8/22.)
If you are an NCAA member, you can mail registration to: NCAA
2425 Kildaire Farm Road
Suite 501
Cary , NC 27518
On Sunday the 14th following classes, a meeting will be held and all NCAA members are invited to attend. Event time and place will be available at check-in. Hope to see you there!
